|The other day I was playing my son a fierce game in basketball. There was a lot of contact and we were both trying really hard. I finally beat him. |
He wanted a rematch, so I obliged him. I tried not to win. The strangest thing happened. When I didn't care I didn't miss a shot and I'm usually not that good.
We played another game and I tried to lose but couldn't. No matter what I did the ball kept going in the basket.
I'm not good under pressure. I think the reason is that I put too much pressure on myself to do good. I think too much, try not make mistakes, basically try too hard.
I have noticed that in many sports being relaxed is the key to good performance.
Next time try to not care and see how it works.
There are many situations where this won't work, but if you've been struggling and tried many methods to reach success, try this one, it may work for you.
This method can work on job interviews, dating, raising kids. Any time you've hit a wall with something try not to care, it might work for you. Let me know how it goes.
