File Structure Each file on your computer has a unique name A disk drive or drive is where files are stored. The Drive is normally called the C drive You can have other drives on your computer which could be named D, E, etc. You can also have access to a network drive that isn't on your computer but on your network. Typically network drives start with \\drivenmae or you can assign the Folder to an unassigned drive name via the Map command. So the folder is a way to group files. It is also called a directory. c:\work might be where you store all your work files and c:\home might be where you store your home files. Within work you might organize the files by project or some other method. Or some Home folders like File Names Then within a folder, you can have any number of files. There are some limitations on how long a file could be. So some example file names. You should give your file a meaningful name so it will be easier to find
