Email Approvals

Every month I have to get approval for something from my boss, but this could be from anyone.

You could write

Could you approve xyz?

But my boss often doesn't read my email or get back to me so I'd have to wait for this approval and might get on a DQ report in the mean time

I now write:

I've updated xyz and if there is an issue please let me know.

This puts the burden on her to send me something if there is an issue.
