Deter Criminals

Prepping isn't just for SHTF, it's also for everyday survival and you should deter criminals from stealing your stuff or harming you.

Some of the following tips are useful:

Don't live in a high crime area if you can avoid it by paying a little more money

Have security signs, "Beware of Dog", "You are being Videod" even if you don't have either

Make your home uninviting to criminals

Keep your doors locked while inside your home or out

Harden entry points so doors can't be kicked in

Have ways to defend yourself, ex. OC Spray, baseball bat, or other weapon

Keep your fence locked

Keep your car locked

Work with your neighbors to deter crime

Cut bushes in front of house where criminals can hide

Be weary of ploys that criminals can use to get you to open your door

Have a defensive plan if someone were to break into your house

Have dogs for early warning

Be careful at banks, taking cash out of them

Know what to do under various scenarios
