| I went to two colleges, Lehman from CUNY my first year and Queens college my last three years. This was because Lehman didn’t have a computer science major, just a math major. It’s not what college you start at, it’s the college that you graduate from that matters. Your grades in college matters for getting your first job if trying to work for top companies. But for most companies, if you get a 3.0 (B) or greater you’ll do fine. I had a lousy college experience as I didn’t know anyone, didn’t belong to any groups, had few friends. I just drove there in the morning, hung out by myself and went home. The best part of college was playing on the Ice Hockey team. There is an article about me playing goalie in my college newspaper. If you go to a top college, then one of the most important things is to build up your network. I don’t have great advice about college because I didn’t go away. The following is a short list:
