| All tasks you do need a time limit. If you don't set a limit and run into a problem you may spend too much time on it. This happened to me today. I spent many hours on a low priority problem only to find that I have to do the task differently than how I started. I didn't get to some more important tasks. This is especially important if you have many tasks to get done and you don't want to get stuck on one of them. From Parkinson's Law, your work expands to fill the time allocated. If you set shorter deadlines and use the ftad method, you'll get much more done than if you over-allocate time to a task. |
