Don't Say I Can't, Say I Can't Yet!

When my son was younger, I'd try to teach him and he would often say "I Can't."

This would bother me. I realized that saying "I Can't" makes it much harder to do whatever he is trying to accomplish.

I thought, "Don't say I Can't, Say I Can't Yet!"  This way he could still say that he couldn't do something but would leave open the possibility that one day he could.

Today, my son is the one of the top players on his baseball team, won an award for being the best in math in his grade and has a very sweet girlfriend all because he learned not to give up.
