A habit is something you do without thinking.

Habits use less energy than doing something outside of a habit.

Habits are like gravity. The Earth doesn't think about circling the Sun, it just does it.

With habits, you don't think about driving, if you've been driving a long time, but just do it.

The key here is to become familiar with your habits and decide which ones to keep and which ones to get rid of and which ones to create.

Think of a habit as a computer subroutine that your brain uses to accomplish tasks.
